Pre- arrival
There is a bus stop less than 50 metres from
the entrance, on a slight gradient. Currently there is an hourly
service, but no evenings.
There are two railway stations in Malvern.
Both are less than then minutes away by car. There is a
selection of footpaths to hills within ¼ mile.
The website has photographs of the guest
rooms.
Arrival
On road car parking, slight gradient, kerb
height 8cm. Access is across the pavement to the entrance.
Assistance with luggage is offered to guests.
The entrance is lit at night.
The contact number is displayed on an
external notice board.
Dogs welcome, bowls provided on request.
Normal arrival time between 4 and 7 pm, other
arrival times by prior arrangement.
Main entrance
Entrance is through a wide door down 2 x17 cm
steps into reception lounge. Register on arrival.
Guests are escorted to the rooms and facilities explained.
Woodstained skirting boards contrast with
pile carpet and walls. Three-seater settee, large bookcase with
a wide selection of books, floor reading lamp/uplighter.
There is a selection of maps, display material of local events, attractions
and transport available on reception desk. Radiator under
window.
Reception leads to landing and access to two
bedrooms. Woodstained skirting boards to contrast with pile
carpet and walls. Stairs up to third bedroom and down to
main lounge and dining area.
Bedrooms
Two on ground floor share a joint en-suite.
Please note that these rooms are not occupied together unless
requested, so the en-suite is not normally shared by guests.
Room 1
Pine lockable door, white skirting and dado
to contrast with shag pile carpet and walls. Super-king sized
bed has thee foot twin option, and adjustable, individual over-bed reading
lights, and bedside cupboards with 1 drawer and shelves.
Also a stereo/CD
player, and radiator to left. Double pine wardrobe with drawers under,
dressing table with mirror and hospitality tray, and wall mounted
full length mirror.
Corner bath 56 cm high, window with long
west views, voile curtain and roman blind, with radiator under. Two
chairs.
En-suite with outward opening door bolt both
sides. Extractor fan light, basin 82cm high with clear underspace, mirror over, lever taps, toilet 40cm high, min 20cm
space each side ,radiator on right, shelf and cupboard
over.
Shower
tray
87x78 cm, 11cm high step up, electric shower and
curtain. Cork floor to contrast with white walls and tiling.
Room 2
Lockable pine door, skirting and dado to
contrast with shag pile carpet and walls. Double bed with
shelving round , individual bedside lights, and radio/CD player.
Double pine wardrobe with drawers under, dressing table with
mirror and hospitality tray. Linen cupboard with full length
mirror.
Window with long west views, voile curtain and roman
blind, radiator under. En-suite as room 1.
Room3
Up 16 carpeted stairs, rail on left. Inward
opening lockable door, bookshelves to right. Pine skirting and
dado to contrast with walls and carpet. King-sized bed with 2ft
6in twin option, bedside tables with 3 drawers, and individual
lights.
Triple wardrobe with 5 draws under. Double futon settee
converts to low bed. Two windows facing (quiet) road, lined curtains, radiator between. Writing bureau with stereo/CD player,
coffee table with hospitality tray.
Steps (11cm & 16cm) to
bathing area. 85x76 cm shower, 14 cm step in, glass door. Sunken
bath 26cm step in, 46cm deep.
Victorian sink 77cm high, with
clear space underneath. Door to toilet area. Toilet 40 cm high, min 29 cm clear space each side, radiator to left. Small
handbasin74 cm high, with clear space underneath.
Lounge/Dining area
Off landing next to reception
and down 14 carpeted stairs, handrail both sides to
lounger. Seats min 6cm with TV, long views to the west,
three radiators. Pine skirting to contrast with walls and
carpet.
Dining area on right of
stairs, 14cm step up to quarry tiled floor. Dining table
237 X 89cm,
75 cm high, leg in each corner, clear space underneath.
Straight back wooden chairs with padded seats, no arms.
Additional information
Hair dryers in all rooms.
Specific dietary requirements catered for, but please advise
when booking.
Drying facilities and space for two bicycles in seperate boiler
room.
Iron and board available in kitchen.
Please vacate rooms by 10.30am on morning of departure.
Payment by cash or cheque.
